The Phoenix T Resources Guide — November 2012 edition

Short post today, since I am kinda involved in a several planning and printing efforts.

This Is HOW has the honor and privilege of publishing the Phoenix T Resources Guide, a booklet of information and resources for Trans people in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area.

I can’t always get to it in the timely manner I am trying for, but it is always a good deal when I an get it out and make it available.

You can read it online and download it from the This Is HOW website:

http://www.thisishow.org

When I post this, I see a lot of people saying that they need something like this in their locality.  Well, that’s always possible.  Indeed, it is, in the end, fairly easy to do.

But not everyone has the time or inclination to put one together – to assemble it.

Well, here’s the way it works: first, you get ahold of several other local trans folk in your area.  You ask them to send you links — and you don’t worry about if those links work for everyone, just if they work for several people.  Every resource possible.

That’s the most important thing, as well — if you create a list of resources based on not having complaints, you will have an ever shrinking list of them.  Instead, create a resource list based on positive experiences, and draw a line for how many — say five.

Then get the information and put them all together.

If you can do that, and you can scrounge up a few donations, here’s what I will do.

Yes, me.  Personally.

I will put together a guide for your locale. You have to send me the information so I can assemble it.  Then you can choose — if you can get 20 monthly donations for a year of 10 dollars each, TIH will print 100 copies of your guide and send them to you.

Or, you can get the PDF file from us and take it to a printer of your choice.

To send me the info, you send the stuff to dyssonance@hotmail.com.  I know, that’s such a stretch for an email addres for someone going by the name of dyssonance online,

We all have our crosses to bear.

I will note that I am busy — so it might take me a bit to get to it, but I will get to it. Probably within 45 days.

In the meantime, download ours, and see how we did it, to make up your mind about what you want to do and how you are going to do it.
