On making policy changes the easy way.

Simplest, most effective tactic for making policy changes is to make friends.

Now, understand that this:

Supporting the current administration is a great way to say that you are not a good, decent, hardworking person, but rather an Indecent, violent, unchristian, immoral, and unethical person who has crossed a border of humanity in your racism, misogyny, and opposition to human rights.

Does not mean you cannot make friends with them.

It does not mean you cannot like them, either. Many of them are quite likable people, and the vast majority of them will tell you how they have black friends and Hispanic friends and women friends and gay friends.

You might not want to be friends with them.

You don’t have to be friends with them.

You don’t have to have them on your FB or instagram, you don’t have to share your twitter feed or tumblr link.

Being friends with them, however, is still the most effective way to change policies. Sometimes it is the only way.

Sometimes you have to be related to them.

Sometimes you have to have children with them that you spend years stressing over their ability to handle the world.

Sometimes you dislike them, intensely, but, still…

… the most effective way to change policies is to be friends with them.

But never forget that they are not trustworthy, that they have surrendered their humanity, that they oppose that which is good, and that on which this very nation was founded in idealism.

So be ready to use other tactics, because sometimes they don’t want to be your friend.

Which they already told ya, but don’t usually realize they did.

And remember that doing things the easy way is not typically the best way.
